I have always had a good memory for numbers. Even so, I could never reliably remember the special days of the people closest to me. Not because I did not care — quite the opposite. I deeply value them and want them to know I am thinking of them.
Often I remembered an approaching birthday or name day a week in advance and told myself: ‘I won’t forget this.’ Then work, responsibilities and countless daily details took over. When the day arrived, I remembered too late — sometimes only the next day.
The worst part was not forgetting itself. It was the feeling that I had failed to show attention to someone who matters to me.
As our family grew to include my wife’s relatives, there were more people, more important dates and more opportunities to make someone happy. In a busy life, it is impossible to keep everything in your head.
A small helper for big gestures
I did not want another complicated calendar that demanded constant checking. I wanted a simple, calm helper: save a person, choose a notice period and receive a reminder exactly when I need it.
That is how Nezabudni was born — an app that remembers dates for us, so we can focus on what matters: a thoughtful message, a phone call or time together.
